Wax Dipping
Preserve your woodenware for years to come by hot wax dipping. Hot wax dipping is the placement of various beehive components, or parts, in hot molten wax. The term ‘dip’ means a brief immersion into a liquid. However, when apiarists dip their hive parts in molten hot wax, it is usually for periods of up to 15 minutes depending on the reason for which the dipping process is being used. The purpose of dipping hive components is to preserve wooden hive parts, so they are protected from the effects of weather, fungi and decay.Dates for dipping are setup on our Calendar and posted on our Facebook page. For pricing click here.
